After a wildfire a few years ago, our Emergency Pod kicked into high gear to learn how to protect each other, the land and the neighbourhood. This led to regular meetings and podlucks to deepen our safety network and fire and earthquake drills to keep up to date. Then in 2020, a group of interested neighbours came together to create five food security gardens on three properties in a very short time. For many this is the fulfilment of a lifelong dream.
